Mr Terry Stark is a mining engineer with more than 35 years of experience throughout Australia in the nickel, gold, manganese and chromite industries. His experience covers mine development and operation and he has been responsible for the construction of two new projects in recent years. He is the holder of a West Australian First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency and a Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency.

Mr Anand Sheth is a Technical and Marketing professional with more than 25 years. For the past 10 years, Mr Sheth has been the Lithium and Tantalum Marketing Manager at Talison Minerals Pty Ltd (ex-Sons of Gwalia Limited). Mr Sheth is highly experienced in the international marketing and global sales of lithium and tantalite mineral products. During his time at Sons of Gwalia, he played an integral role in developing the lithium business, growing sales by 150% within 5 years.
John Sobolewski B Com, CA, GAICD
Chief Financial Officer
Mr John Sobolewski is a CA qualified accounting professional with twelve years experience in the accounting industry, including seven years in executive roles with companies within the resources industry in Western Australia. Most recently, Mr Sobolewski was CFO and Company Secretary for Vital Metals Limited (ASX: VML). Mr Sobolewski’s previous experience also includes positions as Financial Controller and Company Secretary with Croesus Mining NL and Group Accountant and Company Secretary with Titan Resources NL. Mr Sobolewski also acts as a Director of a number of Galaxy Subsidiaries.
Andrew Meloncelli B Com, CA, F.Fin, FCIS, FTIA
Company Secretary
Mr Andrew Meloncelli commenced his career with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, has over 15 years professional experience working as a Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer for resources companies listed on AIM, ASX, POMSOX (PNG) and TSX. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Western Australia, in addition is a Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a Fellow of Chartered Secretaries Australia, Taxation Institute of Australia and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Andrew was the founding Company Secretary of Novacoat Holdings Limited (now Decmil Group Limited) listing on the ASX in 2005 and is a former assistant Company Secretary of an S&P/ASX 200 Index Company. Mr Meloncelli also acts as a Director of a number of Galaxy Subsidiaries.
Allen Qian MBA
Managing Director – Chemical Division
Mr. Qian has solid operational and business management experience in the chemical and automotive industries in China. His previous major career history includes Managing Director roles with two public companies for more than six years and almost seven years’ service with General Motors in various engineering & management functions. Mr Qian obtained a dual Bachelor of Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Jingyuan Liu PhD
General Manager Development
Dr Liu has over 20 years experience in project management, process design and equipment design involving mineral processing, chemical industries, non-ferrous industries, iron & steel industries and energy industries. He has a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked at a senior design role in a mineral processing equipment provider. He also worked as a consultant in Hatch prior to joining Galaxy.
Chris Rainsford PhD

Resident Manager
Dr Rainsford is a mining engineer with over 25 years experience in the mining industry with strategic planning and operational experience in both large and small scale open cut and underground mining operations. He successfully oversaw planning and commissioning of the Greenbushes Underground Mine in 2001. He was previously Resident Manager of Yilgarn Star Gold Mine for a period of 5 years from 1995 to 2000. During his career, he has worked for companies such as Newcrest Mining Ltd, Sons of Gwalia Ltd, Western Mining Corporation and Gold Fields. Dr Rainsford has a First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency and Ph.D in Mining Engineering from University of Nottingham.
Frank Shi
Operations Director - Chemical Division
Mr Shi has over 21 years of operational management experience in China including 11 years with multinational chemical companies such as Wacker and Dow Chemical. He was previously the plant manager of Wacker Chemical (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd. Mr. Shi received his Master of Business Administration from Nanjing University and his Bachelor of Engineering from Nanjing University of Science & Technology. He holds a Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate from Steinbeis University Berlin.
Wang Xiao Yi
Chief Engineer - Chemical Division
Mr Wang has 32 years experience in the production of lithium carbonate and worked at the Xingjiang Lithium Carbonate Plant, in China from 1975 to 2007. He was the Vice Plant General Manager of Xingjiang from 1992 to 1995. Mt Wang has also lithium carbonate marketing experience when he was responsible for product marketing for the last 12 years at Xingjiang. Mr Wang is considered an expert in the production of lithium carbonate in China.
Yatendra Sharma PhD
Project Manager - Lithium Battery Project
Dr Yatendra Sharma obtained his Bachelor and Master’s degree in industrial chemistry and PhD in Battery Technology from the University of Technology, Graz, Austria. Yatendra has an extensive experience in battery technology including lithium ion batteries. His previous experience include companies like Sherwood Overseas Co Pty Ltd, Bayer CropScience Pty Ltd, GBT Battery Co. Ltd, and Mesa Minerals Limited.
